Discovery+ Announces December 18 Premiere For New Special ‘Drew’s Dream Car’ With A First-Look Trailer

New Series from Scott Brothers Entertainment Enlists Master Mechanic Ant Anstead to Create a One-of-a-Kind Motorvehicle

New York, NY – November 2, 2021 – discovery+, the definitive non-fiction, real life subscription streaming service from Discovery, Inc., today released a new trailer prroviding a first look at the new special Drew’s Dream Car, premiering Saturday, December 18. The special brings viewers along for the ride as Property BrothersDrew Scott enlists the help of master mechanic Ant Anstead to design and build the custom car of his dreams, with support and creative input from the entire Scott family including Jonathan Scott. The special is produced by Scott Brothers Entertainment.

“Drew and Jonathan have excited our audiences for years with their home renovation series, and on discovery+ we are able to delight those dedicated fans with varied genres of programming from the talent they love,” said Lisa Holme, Group SVP, Content and Commercial Strategy at Discovery. “It’s been so thrilling to work with Drew and Jonathan on this project as they partner with an auto expert like Ant to create a dream car while providing our viewers with compelling storytelling.”

In the special, audiences will watch as Drew reveals his fascination with 1960s sports cars that he developed as a kid on trips to Scotland with his father, a passion that they have shared throughout their lives. Since then, Drew and his father have dreamed of one day designing a car of their own. Acting as the client for the first time, Drew joins Ant on a tour of classic cars for inspiration. They decide the best way to achieve Drew’s unique vision is to build him a dream car from scratch, an exciting process that Drew has never seen before.

Drew embraces the ambitious build process, spending hours in Ant’s workshop welding, cutting metal, removing engines, and fine tuning the design. Drew applies the same work ethic he employs in home renovations as he acts as Ant’s right hand in creating this truly one-of-a-kind vehicle. The final build evolves into a marriage of old and new, with classic sports car design, drawing inspiration from the E-Type Jaguar, AC Cobra and Aston Martin, including modern details throughout, such as lighting and electric power. With Ant’s guidance and expertise, and some creative input from the entire Scott family, Drew and Ant roll up their sleeves to create Drew’s very own piece of motoring history.
